The hills are alive with the sound of music, and on August 12th they will be electric with the debut of 18-hour SUMMIT Microfest. Four Lebanese electro collectives will converge for a one-night takeover in Mzaar’s Warde Slopes.
SUMMIT is a celebration of genre-defying electronic music and dance, with 18 international and regional DJs throwing heat across two dance floors all night through. The electric roster includes striped-back House music staple John Dimas, Romanian maestro Herodot, Athenian favorite Nausicaa, alongside James Andres, Pekkuliar and CMYK from Barcelona’s Kommuna label, together with the Berlin darling Tsu, the Beirut-Montreal pioneer Jad Kadi, Peachpuff’s Eli Atala and Hypnotic’s co-founder Jool, amongst many others.
The micro-festival was conceived as a laboratory for each Collective - somewhere…, Peachpuff, Sorbetière and Hypnotic - to promote their shared artistic vision of a diverse dance music scene. Party animals somewhere… will take over Stage One with Peachpuff, marking the 10-year anniversary of the legendary Parisian publication and party magnate, Dure Vie. Stage Two will host another 10-year bash for iconic Athenian label, Revolt, with Sorbetière & Hypnotic at the controls.
SUMMIT has been conceptualized as an immersive experience, with electric tracks setting the mood for a host of interactive activities, alongside a pop-up flea market and artisanal food trucks.
Tickets are currently available on the Tick’It website.
