Logical Da9ud, Haykal & Mehrak Join Forces on Jazz Rap Cut ‘Dawha’
The three artists unite on a wistful, piano driven jazz-rap track grounded in raw introspection.
With a wistful hip-hop arrangement, producer Mehrak joins forces with underground Egyptian rap mainstay Logical Da9ud and Palestinian pioneer Haykal on their collaborative single ‘Dawha’.
Mehrak sets a nostalgic tone from the outset, laying down a dusty vinyl crackle beneath a delicate piano melody and a tight acoustic drum loop. Though minimal, the production carries a cinematic air, setting an introspective backdrop for the rappers’ stream-of-consciousness verses.
Da9ud opens with a fluid, easygoing flow, delivering thoughtful wordplay centered on self-discovery and internal searching. Haykal then shifts the dynamic with a more percussive cadence, grappling with the weight of aging, the struggle to make sense of the world, and the claustrophobic pressure of audience expectations.
Together, the three artists deliver a cohesive, pensive track held together by an airtight bounce and a delicate, jazz-influenced instrumental.
