BLTNM Launches New Animated Series 'RAD SAREE3' With Stereo Studio

Trailblazing Palestinian rap label BLTNM is taking its world-building beyond music, teaming up with Levantine creative studio Stereo to launch Rad Saree3, a new animated series that brings the label’s irreverent universe to the screen.

Drawing on the visual language of hand-drawn comics, the series’ first episode follows Shabjdeed and Riyadiyat playing exaggerated versions of themselves, turning the mundanities and absurdities of everyday life in Israeli-occupied Palestine into a distinctly Shabjdeed-coded satire. Rather than reducing Palestinian life to conflict narratives, the series leans into the humour, chaos and surrealism of the everyday, an approach that has long been central to BLTNM’s creative identity.

The series takes its name from Shabjdeed and Riyadiyat’s collaborative track ‘Rad Saree3’, produced by Al Nather and released on Shabjdeed and Al Nather’s 2024 album SULTAN. The track marked another meeting point between three key figures in BLTNM’s orbit, with Riyadiyat joining Shabjdeed on vocals and Al Nather handling production.

The animated world also builds on the visual universe established around the track itself. Its original video was directed by Rony Karkar, with Shabjdeed serving as creative director and Romy Matar as art director and lead animator, while Stereo was among the production credits.

With this animated series, BLTNM is effectively turning one of its songs into a larger fictional playground, one where Palestinian rap, absurdist comedy and hand-drawn animation can coexist.
