Beirut and Beyond will host a release concert for their 10-year compilation album at KED Beirut on April 28th.
In celebration of their 10th anniversary, Beirut and Beyond Music Festival teamed up with Lebanese multi-instrumentalist Bachar Mar-Khalife to create a compilation album that showcases the diverse musical talents of Lebanon. The ‘Beirut & Beyond - 10 Years’ compilation features ten original tracks by ten different Lebanon-based artists and music groups, encompassing various genres from hip-hop and dreamy folk to electronic music and melodic pop.
Recorded in July 2023 at Tunefork Studios in the heart of Beirut, the album is a result of Beirut and Beyond’s Musicians Support Program, which aims to support Lebanese musicians amidst the current economic crisis by commissioning them to create original tracks. The album, released on March 29th, 2024 under Mar-Khalife’s label Balcoon, is available as vinyl and on all digital streaming platforms.
The release concert will see live performances from the artists featured on the album, including ABE, Amal Kaawash, Joe Pretzel, Oviid, Salwa Jaradat, Khaled Allaf, Sleepsentt, Sundowner, Tilt, Whyvsef, and Yal Solan.
