Tul8te Drops Live Jazz Version of Album 'Narein'

Egyptian pop star Tul8te has quietly dropped a jazz rework of his album Narein. The release arrives alongside a 23-minute live session, filmed at a dimly lit rooftop bar in Downtown Cairo with a five-piece band.

On this new verison of Narein, Tul8te revisits standout tracks like ‘Heseeny’ and ‘Habeeby Da’, reimagining their original production through loose, improvisational arrangements, that lens into smoky saxophone lines and crisp percussion, pulling back from the polished ‘90s pop sheen of the original to make space for spontaneity and subtle shifts in melody as well as his vocal performance. The session also introduces new material in ‘El Lahza Di’, a tender, slow-burner that pairs introspective lyricism with free-form instrumentation.

The project lands as Tul8te prepares for the European leg of his ongoing Narein world tour, kicking off on April 25th in Paris, featuring stops in Berlin and Milan.
