Egyptian alt-pop artist Khaled Ali and producer Ahmed Diaa have joined forces on new single,‘Zekra’, which sees the duo weaves emotive storytelling into a vibrant, modern pop arrangement.
Built upon playful percussion, squiggly synths, and warm classical guitar chords, the track navigates the space of getting lost in nostalgia and lingering within the quiet echoes of a past romance. Born out of a shared emotional resonance following a breakup, the release captures a delicate balance: Khaled’s lyrics address an ex-partner with clear-eyed honesty rather than despair, holding onto the memory of a feeling without being trapped inside it.
Beyond its lyrical depth, ‘Zekra’ marks a pivotal evolutionary step in Khaled’s vocal craft. Under Diaa’s guidance as both producer and vocal coach, the recording process focused heavily on the mechanics of performance by sharpening articulation, refining phrasing placement, and stacking multi-layered harmonies to unlock new dimensions of his vocal range.

تعاون الفنان المصري في موسيقى البوب البديلة خالد علي، مع المنتج الموسيقي أحمد ضياء، في أغنيتهما الجديدة ذكرى، التي تمزج بين الحكي العاطفي والتوزيع الموسيقي المعاصر بإيقاع حيوي.
تعتمد الأغنية على إيقاعات مرحة، وأصوات سينثس إلكترونية متعرجة، إلى جانب نغمات الغيتار الكلاسيكي الدافئة، لتتنقل بين الحنين إلى الماضي واستحضار أصداء علاقة عاطفية انتهت. وجاءت الأغنية انطلاقاً من حالة شعورية مشتركة عاشها الثنائي عقب تجربة انفصال، حيث تتناول كلمات خالد علاقته بشريكته السابقة بقدر من الصراحة والهدوء، مستحضرةً ذكرى مشاعر مضت دون الوقوع في أسرها.
