Shuffle | Oct 22 - Nov 4

This week's editio of SceneNoise's 'Shuffle' playlist spotlighting all types of new music across the MENA region, our selection features fresh cuts from the likes of Siba, Rasha Nahas and Nadine El Roubi.

Iranian artist Siba rails against corrupt power structures on a new politically charged album, Parazeitgeist, while Lebanese-Mexican artist Blu Fiefer comes through with a slow-burning pop tune, ‘Ana Ya Leil’, a late-night reckoning with heartbreak, resentment and ultimate detachment.

Dubai-based Egyptian DJ/producer Omar Fayyad contributes to Hidden Gems Records’ debut VA compilation album with a groovy atmospheric house cut, ‘Good Frame (of Mind)’. Meanwhile, Egyptian-Sudanese artist Nadine El Roubi trades loud defiance for radical vulnerability and neo-soul warmth on new album, Life is Beautiful Again.

The playlist also features Lolo Zouai with ‘5432ON’, Nurzy with ‘Bayt El Ayle’, and Hussein Yasser and Abyusif with ‘Ya Bent El Maganeen’.
