Ferkesh: Ahmed Razeek | MOND - 'BZNS'
Egyptian director Ahmed Razeek takes us behind the scenes, unpacking the artistic vision behind MOND's viral music video 'BZNS'.
In this episode of our ‘Ferkesh’ series, we sit down with French-Egyptian creative director and filmmaker, Ahmed Razeek, the mastermind behind MOND’s latest music video ‘BZNS’. He takes us behind the scenes of the video, unpacking the artistic vision and the meaning behind the visuals, which took around 23 hours in total to shoot.
Drawing on the track’s raw and confrontational energy, Razeek frames the video as a deep dive into Mond’s psyche, a space where inner conflict, brotherhood, love, and violence blur into one. He highlights how the characters in the video become extensions of the artist himself, fragments of thought and emotion moving through a carefully choreographed chaos, from the opening one-shot to the stripped-back visuals and uniformed cast.
‘BZNS’ follows a stripped-back, grounded approach, featuring MOND, a rabid dog, and around 50 non-actors to capture a more natural sense of street life. The video has been nominated at the London Music Video Awards 2026 for Best Director and Best Music Video, and will be screened at the ceremony on June 27th.
