With the pandemic decimating so much of the nightlife industry, it’s only natural that venues and promoters everywhere are seeking out innovative ways to keep the party going.
Earlier this month, amidst the ban on social gatherings, Club Index in Cologne, Germany made headlines around the world when it hosted the first drive-in rave which gave ticket holders a chance to party it up safely from the comfort of their cars in a massive car park in front of DJs performing on stage.
Cairo Jazz Club are taking a page from the same book, teasing their new DIC (Drive-In Concert) series. No date has been announced for its launch but you can probably expect an unwheel experience, if not an awkward one if you’re going in an Uber. Stay tuned for more details.
