Powerhorse has teamed up with the region’s leading contemporary culture festival SoleDXB to host ‘Groundwork’ from the 13th to 15th of December, set in Dubai Design District.
The ‘Groundwork’ stage will be a showcase of Dubai’s burgeoning dance music scene with non-stop music from 3pm to 2am every day during the festival. Expect a curation of trailblazing regional and international acts along with the ‘Set Killer’ dance competition running in between the sets.
Day one kicks off with a collaboration between UAE-based street wear brand ‘Precious Trust’ and party series ‘Paridisea’ featuring Kuwait-born DJ and one of Radio Al Hara’s first curators Cascou, along with eclectic London-based DJ Keyrah. They will be joined by sound artist VZline and rising hip hop act Theodor Black, as well as the genre-bending dynamo JD. Reid, and Precious Trust’s mastermind Wathek.
On December 14th and December 15th, there will be a fusion of amapiano, hip-hop, South Asian and Middle Eastern rhythms, courtesy of special showcases from prominent global collectives like Green Room, Dé Favela, House of Yanos and Stick No Bills. The stage will welcome a hefty lineup of talents including DJ Brooklyn, Tom Crane, and E-Lo, among others.
