One of the biggest names on the regional clubbing scene, The Ballroom Blitz in Beirut, is reaching out to artists of all skill and experience for a special residency that will afford them the use their space and resources for projects, whether that be recording, rehearsing, or simply any post-production work. Like all of the Middle East’s (and the world’s) clubbing scenes, the venue has seen a hit to its activities due to COVID-19 as well as the following horrific events that happened in Lebanon throughout 2020 and 2021 but has been on the ascendency since, as life returns to some kind of semblance of normality.

They recently reopened club activity just over a month ago, with a huge comeback, but the artist residency programme is arguably just as significant as Beirut rebuilds itself, giving a chance for artists to use the space for their own work. Funded by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), the residency will be moderated by some of their  residents and supported by The Ballroom Blitz’s partners in terms of distribution, agents, festivals and more
