The Beirut-born selector takes us on a playful ride through warm, groovy house, imbued with old-school hip-hop cuts, and cues from the likes of Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos.
This week on the SceneNoise's Select series brings comes courtesy of one of the fast-rising talents in Beirut’s underground electronic scene and co-founder of female DJ collective, Femmebass, Nad!Ne.
Taking cues from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, and James Zabiela, the Brussels-based Lebanese native has developed a distinctive musical style that, though rooted in warm, groovy house, is embellished with flourishes of her earliest inspirations from old school hip-hop, minimal, breaks and progressive sounds. From Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris to Luxembourg and Dubai, Nad!Ne has done the rounds at some of the biggest clubs, festivals and even fashion shows, including the likes of KitKat, Kater, Umi, B018, and Chateau Perche.
