Ahmed Santa Drops Combative Cut 'Di El Tarika' from 'Sakr Wa Kanarya'

Egyptian rap star Ahmed Santa has always paired street culture with a relentless funnybone in his work, his tracks balancing between technically spot-on flows and sharp lyrical jabs. That combination makes him a natural fit for 'Di El Tarika', the second official single from the soundtrack of Egyptian action-comedy 'Sakr Wa Kanarya'.

Written, composed, and performed by Santa himself, with arrangement by Eeso and Maher El Malakh and mix and master by Tayab, the song moves at a quick, driving pace that mirrors the film's rhythm. Its lyrics lean into confidence and defiance, echoing the stubbornness of the film's characters.

The release comes as 'Sakr Wa Kanarya' continues a strong run in cinemas, having crossed EGP 81 million at the box office since opening.
