NABD to Host Creative & Music Industry Workshops in Cairo
Running from April 14th to May 24th, the series features five programs tackling everything from music production, DJing and sampling to artist management.
Cairo-based creative space and music school NABD has announced a new series of workshops running from April 18th to the end of May.
Operating as both an independent record store and a listening room, NABD is a community-driven platform for learning, experimentation, and collaboration within Cairo’s electronic and creative scene. Founded by Omar Mady, the space is a key part of Cairo's evolving underground scene that aims to bring together like-minded visionaries across different disciplines with no creative ceiling or fixed deliverables. NABD regularly hosts workshops and classes covering a wide range of topics, from music production and DJing to filmmaking, advertising, and creative management, taught by some of the industry’s most respected artists, opening access for musicians and creatives to exchange ideas and pushing for a cross-disciplinary collaborations.
The upcoming workshop series features five programmes, each focused on a different area of the music industry. These include 'Ableton Foundation's with Egyptian producer Hassan Abou Alam, 'Zen in the Art of Sampling' with Yasseen El Azzouni, 'Artist Management' with Omar Emad, 'The Art of DJing' with Omar Mady, and a class on Visual and Sonic Identity, titled ‘Identity in Motion’ with Omar Mobarek.
