Rami HR’s 'Liquid Soul' Is a Deep House Treat for Dancers and Dreamers

Jordanian DJ, producer and label owner Rami HR has released a five-track deep house EP, Liquid Soul on his imprint, Waxing Moon.

Rami is currently one of the most sought-after artists in the region’s electronic scene with over two decades of experience under his belt. He has set himself apart in the clubbing circuit with his distinguishable sound and mixing style, crafting immersive soundscapes of atmospheric dubbed house and after-hours tech-house vibes, peppered with influences from the likes of Swayzak, Akufen, Eddie Richards and John Creamer. Since 2003, he has been jet-setting between decks at major clubs and festivals across the globe, from Lebanon and Qatar to Thailand and Cambodia, playing alongside the likes of Andrey Pushkarev, Etchar and Nesta. Besides running his own label, Waxing Moon, as a launchpad for emerging regional talents, he also holds a residency at the famous Amman underground club, Ambush.

On Liquid Soul, Rami delivers a masterful deep house sonic odyssey that slips between the physical and the subconscious. The record is built on subliminal vocal samples, space-dusted grooves, and cosmic pads that drift like a lucid dream, perfect for both nocturnal ravelry and intimate listening sessions. ‘Megatron’, for instance, is a timeless floor-focused cut. Rami blends an old-school tech-house structure with futuristic rhythms, layering punchy drums over a driving groove and breathy looping textures that ebb, flow, and twist like the rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust.

On ‘Red Room Paradox’, the energy becomes more subtle and fragmented. The track leans toward pure deep house, a meditative maze of melodic grooves and smoky textures that unfolds in slow motion. It’s a soundtrack for the deep thinker, or the philosophical dancer with a complex personality. ‘1951’ is more cinematic and introspective, relying on soft pads and drifting harmonics that evoke the nostalgia of classic house music.

Closing the EP, the title track ‘Liquid Soul’ takes us on a breaks-driven journey through ambient and minimal sounds, with shimmering synths and fleeting vocal vocoders appearing like echoes in a vortex. Though structured for early-morning winter comedowns, the first half of the 7:30 track feels tension-laden and anxiety-inducing, like being stuck in a deserted warehouse. The latter half becomes more cosmic and groovy, bringing the EP to a full-circle resolution.

With Liquid Soul, Rami HR reaffirms his position as a leading talents in the region’s electronic music landscape, demonstrating his ability to craft a sonic experience that is as much groovy as it is introspective, a lucid dream for dancers, thinkers, and anyone drawn to sound that breathes.
