Having amassed over 12 billion streams through his production credits with some of the world’s most popular artists, Egyptian-Australian producer Khaled Rohaim has become nothing short of a legend in the regional music industry. Rohaim has worked on tracks for Rihanna, Ariana Grande, The Kid LAROI, and countless others throughout his storied career, and has even made his mark on music coming out of the MENA region by collaborating with the likes of Marwan Moussa on his album ‘Import//Export’.
In this XP conversation, Rohaim tells us about making music at nine years old, and how his father’s keyboard and synthesizer collection led him into music making at a young age. He also talks about his process working with acclaimed artists, and how he strongly believes that being in the same room with an artist leads to developing a stronger connection with them, which always translates into the music being made.
