Egyptian DJ and producer, Youssef Erfan AKA Joey, is a mainstay of Cairo’s nightlife having played most prominent festivals, venues and event series from Sandbox to Noise Sessions, always bringing a sophisticated house set to the earlier proceedings of the evening.
Last time we hit him up for a Select podcast he revealed his diverse musical taste with a lush lo-fi hip-hop set, but this time he’s veering more to what crowds are more familiar with - a carefully crafted, moody and groovy micro house and minimal set, that builds up beautifully throughout featuring tracks from the likes of VOY, Mft., Rodrigo P. ROOT and Stefano Andriezzi.
