After years of dancing and setting up camps in hidden scenic pockets across Morocco, from the beachy shores of Dakhla to Ouarzazate’s Atlas Studios, Oasis electronic music festival is now returning to its hometown of Marrakech for its 2024 edition from September 6th to September 8th - and according to the organisers, it might just be the last Oasis festival ever.

“While we deeply love and believe in what we’re doing, we see a greater opportunity to steer Morocco’s cultural landscape in an exciting new direction. As such, we’ve decided to take a break in 2025 to pursue this path,” Oasis Festival shared in a statement on Instagram. “2024 will be the last edition of Oasis. This final, classic edition of Oasis will be an iconic moment in our history that you absolutely don’t want to miss.”

Since its inaugural edition in 2015, Oasis has established a reputation as one of the most truly original music festivals worldwide, inviting festival goers to explore uncharted and lesser-known areas across Morocco. The festival has played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s now booming festival canon, placing importance on providing settings as enticing as music and offering literal getawags with well-rounded North African cultural programming amidst scenic locations. (We’ve all had our fair share of boogie fields, parks and industrial warehouses, no?).

Taking place amidst the lush greenery and winding walkways of The Source, a two-acre hidden site just moments from Marrakech Airport against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, the final edition of Oasis Festival brings a roster of established and rising electronic acts from across the globe.

Though the lineup remains under wraps, the festival has announced the first wave, featuring prominent global artists including, Joy Orbison, Jungle, Laurent Garnier, TSHA, Yu Su, Blck Mamba, HAAi, Anz, Greg and more. The lineup also features some notable names from the region’s electronic dance scene such as Sama’ Abdulhadi, Nooriyah, Amine K, Polyswitch, Driss Bennis, Guedr Guedra, Capra, Sodfa, Sound Sisters, and Kosh just to name a few.

Besides the three days of non-stop music, the festival is also bringing a wide range of fun activities, arts and cultural activations and food vendors.

Tickets are now available for purchase on Oasis’s official website. Stay tuned to scenenoise.com for the announcement of the full lineup and more information about everything happening at the festival’s last hurrah.
