IQOS REMIX Brings Misty & Marwan Moussa Together for Listening Party
Having released their collaborative track this summer, the rapper and producer came together with fans and competition winners in a uniquely interactive experience.
While rap and electronic music have a closer relationship than most realise, it’s not often that the two come together in a way that feels distinct to both. This summer, Egyptian rapper Marwan Moussa and producer Misty did just that with ‘3ady Sahla’, a collaboration released under the IQOS REMIX campaign.
‘Sahel Season’ might now be a memory, but the track found a second life at The Recroom in Maadi, which hosted and exclusive IQOS REMIX listening party. The event followed a summer of activations across Egypt’s North Coast and a competition on IQOS CLUB that gave fans a chance to attend the party.
Pairing Misty’s electronic production with Marwan Moussa’s rap, ‘3ady Sahla’ formed the centrepiece of a campaign that gave listeners a role beyond simply streaming the finished track.
For the winners, the evening began before the main event, with early access and a meet-and-greet with Misty and Marwan Moussa. After the session, they joined the wider crowd upstairs as the listening party got underway, moving from a more intimate introduction to the artists to the main event.
The event showed that beyond the hype of a release, music can live in different kinds of experiences, with IQOS REMIX showing how sound can bring people together through shared experiences.
