Select 408: Mixed by Sn0tbox
The Cairo-based DJ deliver a mix of deconstructed club, moving between distorted electronics, bass-heavy cuts and warped pop, featuring tracks from Manuka Honey and Slikback.
On this week’s Select, Cairo-based DJ Sn0tbox, who emerged from the city’s underground, left-field clubbing scene with unconventional sets spanning deep dubstep, deconstructed club and glitched-out dembow, stitched together by grimy sound design and flickers of post-club obscurity.
Moving through the darker corners of the club, the mix shifts between distorted electronics, deconstructed rhythms, bass-heavy cuts and warped pop, driven by abrasive percussion. Seductive, strange and intense, it features tracks by Manuka Honey, Slikback and Nick Leon.
