Up-and-Coming Alexandrian Rapper Rocky Gets Grimey on New Track ‘GAS’
Taking a step away from the trap sounds that have defined his previous releases, underground Alexandrian rapper, Rocky, has staked his claim as one of the most promising young rappers working his way up the ladder in the Egyptian northern coastal town.

Hailing from Alexandria, Rocky is one of the latest artists to throw their name into the 'boxing ring' of Egypt's rap scene. This latest release, however, takes several steps away from the autotune-trap styling of his first release, 'EYE'.
Continuing the trend of more outspoken aggression seen on his Pop Smoke (R.I.P) inspired track 'Smoke,' 'GAS' features Rocky spitting over an intense grime beat by fellow Alexandrian Mor3b. The production is tight, with rumbling 808 kicks and icy high hats rattling about. Rocky's flow is also surprisingly developed for such a newcomer, and the entire track comes through with a production quality beyond that of a mere amateur, likely at the hands of Bugz, a new "creative collective and label" co-founded by Rocky himself.
