Having started his career in 2007 in Jeddah, Lil Eazy comes from a different era of hip-hop, which he refers to as the “forum” era, when hip-hop communities only existed freely on the internet. Since then, the rapper has continued to evolve and grow to keep up with current trends and developments in the rap game while staying true to the aesthetics of hip-hop culture. Lil Eazy has released two full-length albums, ‘4 Years’ and ‘The Proof’, along with numerous singles that have cemented his position within the Saudi scene. He continues to push Saudi rap to new heights in his mission to take it global.
In this ‘Saudi Spotlight’ edition of SceneNoise x XPConversations, Lil Eazy gives us a glimpse into his early life and how he started making music, shares his insights on the current entertainment industry in Saudi Arabia, and talks about his love for hip-hop culture and football. The rapper also addresses the challenges faced by young rappers back in the day when there wasn’t as much of a community as there is now.
