ZMAGRYA, a Maghrebi-led nightlife series celebrating Maghrebi Amazigh, African and Arab musical heritage, will debut a ‘Gnawa Fusion’ live show in Montreal on April 27th.
With a mission to introduce traditional Moroccan music into the global nightlife scene and celebrate Arab sounds in the diaspora, the ‘Gnawa Fusion’ will feature a live performance of Gnawa music by the Boulila group. The night will also feature rising Moroccan DJs such as IncogMokro, Casakobrae, and Zina, who will be fusing contemporary electronic music, like afro-house, electro, trance and amapiano with Gnawa rhythms.
