Renowned Libyan producer, songwriter, and composer Hamid El Shaeri has been a staple in the region’s music industry for decades, and has made a mark on multiple generations of listeners through his timeless music. His career has seen him reach great heights in the region and abroad by incorporating influences from western dance, pop, and rock and roll music as well as traditional Arabic music ideas in his productions, releasing classics such as ‘Ouda’ and ‘Ayonha’ through his solo career, and producing countless hits for other artists such as ‘Law Leki’ by Ali Hemeida, and ‘Ainy’ by Hisham Abbas.
For this year’s edition of XP Music Futures taking place in Jax District, Riyadh, SceneNoise will be hosting a special live fireside chat with Hamid El Shaeri titled 'How to Make a Hit That Lasts Forever', along with a series of panels and workshops taking place from December 7th to December 9th. Moderated by Egyptian rap star (and superfan) Abyusif, the conversation will dive deep into Hamid’s classic hits such as ‘Ayonha’ and ‘Einy’, unpacking his production and songwriting process, while recounting some anecdotes from his time working with some of the region’s biggest stars. The session will take place on day two of the conference.
Boasting a stellar line-up of artists performing during their XP Night program, along with a long list of insightful panels and hands-on workshops in XP Day, this year’s edition of XP Music Futures will bridge the gap between the region’s multiple local music scenes, bringing artists, producers, labels, managers, and industry professionals together for a 3-day event aiming to develop the region’s industry.
