Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, is one of the most recognisable live events in the music industry. The festival has been taking place annually since 1999, and performing at the event has become an important milestone in an international artist’s career. It’s often known for being riddled with celebrities while drawing in its audience (usually upwards of 750,000 people) through a wide range of programming, including pop, rock, hip-hop, indie, electronic, and dance music.

Having just announced their 2023 line-up, this year’s edition of Coachella will feature Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna performing at the event’s legendary grounds in Indio, California. In one of the biggest international bookings an artist can achieve, alongside some of the world’s most renowned musicians, including Bjork, Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, Gorillaz, BLACKPINK, and Rosalía.

Throughout her career, Elyanna has developed a unique blend of Latin and Middle Eastern sounds while tackling themes of identity, love, and heartbreak in her lyrics. Elyanna’s Palestinian heritage has also played a major role in shaping her music, blending traditional Palestinian instrumentation with elements of cumbia, reggaeton, and Latin American pop music.

Rising to fame in recent years, the the-twenty-year old star has amassed over 100 million views on her YouTube channel, with hits such as ‘Ghareeb Alay’ and ‘Ana Lahali’ bringing her to international attention. The singer’s upcoming performance at Coachella 2023 marks a significant moment for Palestinian and Chilean artists as they start to gain more recognition in the international music scene.

The festival’s first weekend will take place from 14th-16th of April, and the second from the 21st-23rd. Pre-sale weekend passes will be available on the 13th of January at coachella.com
