Al-Qasar's Latest Single 'Ahlan Wa Sahlan' Pays Ode to '70s Arabic Psychedelic Rock
Merging a multitude of musical identities, international music collective Al-Qasar's latest single 'Ahlan Wa Sahlan' is an uptempo rock transfusion. Harking back to the '70s Middle Eastern psychedelia sounds of Tehran, Beirut and Istanbul, Al-Qasar utilities elements of loud garage rock in between, resulting in a uniquely rich mishmash of music worlds.<iframe src="https://widget.anghami.com/song/63803544/?theme=fulldark&&layout=wide&&lang=en" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" width=600 height=190 ></iframe>Launched by French producer Thomas Bellier in collaboration with astute instrumentalists from Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, France and more, Al-Qasar has been already making waves internationally, albeit only launching in 2018, on the stages of Trans Musicales de Rennes Festival & French Institute's Fête de la Musique.  'Ahlan Wa Sahlan', which translates to 'Salute', follows the release of their recent single ' Mafish Had Madmoun' and takes on a more musically invigorating direction with energetic percussive elements, commanding lyricism and captivating instrumental solos.
