In this installment of our Shreet Cocktail playlist, the SceneNoise release radar has detected a variety of new music releases spanning various genres and styles, from dreamy lo-fi to heavy metal, left-field experimentalism, and many more in between. This edition features new music by El Waili, Nourine and Massive Scar Era.
El Waili is back with a new project that marks the third volume of his EP trilogy 'L Nor', from which we have selected the standout track 'La2'. In 'La2', El Waili introduces new compositional elements where melancholy dominates, expressed through elongated string and synth sections juxtaposed with his distinctive percussion.
Also on the playlist is the latest release by the Alexandrian death metal outfit Massive Scar Era, formerly known as Mascara. The track 'School Girls', featuring Chaney Crabb, draws inspiration from Zar rituals, paying tribute to a traditional Zar song of the same name. The track is part of Massive Scar Era’s new EP 'Assyad'.
The playlist also includes the latest track by Nourine titled 'Paris', Riff’s surprise release 'Abyad w Ahmad' and Zaid Khaled's new single 'Sot Pop Jdeed'.
