Moroccan rock trio Teltach has released their second single, ‘Repeteteve’, following their debut track ‘Stalker’, which launched their project earlier this year.

Entering the regional rock scene, the band brings a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of the ’90s grunge era, layered with a progressive rock approach. Their latest single is a distinctive grunge cut that features impressive instrumentation, sludgy bass lines, and minimal yet punchy drums, all anchored by driving guitar riffs. The track evokes a sound that has been largely absent and rarely adapted within the regional rock scene.

‘Repeteteve’ showcases an evolving compositional approach, avoiding consistency in tempo and rhythm. The first half of the track recalls Soundgarden’s ‘Badmotorfinger’, with vocalist Saad Assaem’s vocals echoing anger and frustration. This gradually evolves into a raw punk instrumental that rebels against the track’s initial tone.

Lyrically, the song channels societal outrage and personal observations on the challenges of adapting to confusing circumstances as a young person. While the first half may feel somewhat derivative of the Seattle grunge sound, the second half dispels that impression with aggressive compositions, rebellious lyrics, and powerful melodies.

Teltach’s second single underscores the band’s commitment to reviving the sludgy, rebellious sound of ’90s rock, offering one of the more refreshing rock experiences in the regional scene in recent years.
