Kanye West Samples Fairuz Classic ‘Fayek Alaya’ on New Album ‘Bully’

Kanye West, aka Ye, has finally released his long-delayed 12th studio album Bully, featuring a standout track that samples the work of Fairuz.

On ‘All The Love’, a collaboration with talkbox pioneer André Troutman, West reworks Fairuz’s 1963 classic “Fayek Alaya’ into a warped, talkbox-laced gospel cut. The sample transforms the Arabic vocals into a slippery warm effect that echoes the style of his 2013 record ‘Yeezus’ interludes.

Released via the independent label Gamma, ‘Bully’ marks West’s first solo release since ‘Donda 2’ in 2022, representing a return to form for the controversial rapper.

Fairuz continues to resonate globally, the most recent high-profile sampling of the artist’s work coming at the hands of Drake, who sampled ‘Wahdon’ on his 2025 album ‘ICEMAN’.
