House of Yanos Is the Collective Bringing Amapiano to the Region

At Sole DXB 2025, amid the pulse of Power Horse’s Groundwork stage, we caught up with Toqsic, co-founder of House of Yanos, a collective shaping its own lane within the region’s underground music scene.

What started as an amapiano-focused project has since expanded into something far more fluid, drawing from Afro-house, Afro-beats, R&B, and even Afro-Portuguese and Afro-French sounds. The result is a constantly evolving sonic identity that resists settling into one place for too long.
