Soundscapes Zanzi Reveals First Wave 2027 Lineup Jan 21st - 26th
The Bahraini-born electronic festival is heading to Zanzibar once again with a massive roster of regional and international artists, featuring Zeina, Hugo Martinez, Dr Banana and more.
Bahrain-born electronic music festival Soundscapes is returning to Zanzibar from January 21st to 26th, 2027, taking over the sandy shores of Bwejuu Beach for its sixth edition on the island. The festival is set to bring together a sprawling roster of regional and international artists for five days of music, art and wellness.
Founded in 2015, Soundscapes has established itself as one of the region’s more considered electronic music festivals, building its identity around carefully curated music programmes, immersive experiences and a strong connection to its surroundings. Beyond the music, the festival has consistently supported Zanzibar’s local community through eco-conscious practices and site-specific programming.
For its 2027 edition, Soundscapes Zanzi brings together artists from across the electronic music spectrum, including Hugo Martinez, Dr Banana, Russian DJ and producer Andrey Pushkarev, known for his vinyl-focused approach to house and techno, and French house maverick Brawther. The lineup also features UK underground figures Hamish Cole and Toby Nicholas, German DJ and producer Map.ache, Swiss selector Serenne, and Tanzanian duo The Zawose Queens. Representing the region are Zeina, Baloo, Zone+, Daddybisht, Hisham Zahran, Nesta and Vinyl Mode, among others.
