PopArabia, the leading music publisher in the MENA region, has recently secured a publishing deal with New York-based independent music company, Reservoir Media, for Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram’s entire catalog, including her future works.
Known as the Queen of Arab Pop, Ajram catapulted to fame as a child TV star, releasing her debut album at the age of 15. In 2010, the Lebanese star became the biggest-selling Arab female singer of the decade. Nancy Ajram’s extensive oeuvre features 12 studio albums, including ‘Ya Tabtab’ and ‘Nancy 10’, along with global hit songs like ‘Sah Sah’ – a collaboration with Marshmello which became the first Arabic song to enter Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
The deal comes as part of Reservoir Media and PopArabia’s ongoing efforts to grow in the region and promote Arabic music globally. As part of the agreement, Nancy Ajram’s label, In2Musica will be represented worldwide by ESMAA, the UAE-based PopArabia’s subsidiary facilitating music licensing and ensuring artists and music creators are paid fairly across the United Arab Emirates and Gulf area.
