Amro El Meligy Becomes the Life of the Party on ‘El Hafla’
True to its moniker, El Hafla, the album mirrors the spirit of a real celebration and partying at different stages of one’s life.

Rising Egyptian artist Amro El Meligy has released a new electro-dance summer album, ‘El Hafla’. True to its moniker, El Hafla, the album mirrors the spirit of a real celebration and partying at different stages of one’s life. It opens with a warm-up track, then gradually builds up, before easing back into a smooth, chilled finale with Disposable Love Remix.
The project consists of 11 tracks, two of which - ‘Hobo Mahabeneesh’ and ‘Baros’ - have been previously released as singles. ‘Katkoot’, one of the standouts, is a humorous wedding song, highlighting the responsibilities men face in marriage, while ‘Habibi is more of a dancefloor-filler. Another standout on the album is the title track, El Hafla, which serves as a heartfelt tribute to Amro’s late grandmother, the legendary Egyptian TV drama director, Elweya Zaki, sampling some of her old voice notes.
The album features collaborations with a lineup of local producers, such as Sherif El Wesseimy, Shady Mohsen, Elhamy Dehema, Karim Yousry and Ahmed Houssam, alongside UAE-based DJ Nuff Said.
