For the Palestinian liberation and in particular the people of Gaza, Jordan based record label House of Afandi, along with SceneNoise, Noise Records, Souqsounds, and Soundsource Studio have banded together to compile a 35 track LP with artists from around the world who have lent their voices to the struggle.
In the wake of the unspeakable horrors of the genocide in Gaza, world leaders and international politics have fallen short of their obligation to maintain justice and security around the world, and people have taken matters into their own hands by turning to boycotts and other methods of attempting to create an impact on the current state of events.
Artists have also used their platforms to spread awareness about the cause, as well as to collect donations for relief organizations operating in Palestine, in order to leverage their platforms and roles as public figures to continue the speaking up about the Palestinian struggle and the horrendous genocide.
With this vision of impact in mind, the Jordan based record label along with their partners on the project have set out to compile an album with 40 artists from around the globe, joining their collective voices on one album to mobilize around sound and song.
The album features MENA music pioneers such as El Waili, Autostrad, and Zeid Hamdan as well an extensive roster of rising regional artists, international acts, and long-standing producers who have worked behind the scenes for years developing the sound of the region.
As House of Afandi put it: “This collaborative music album is not just a collection of songs; it is a symphony of empathy, a testament to our shared humanity, and a promise that the world will be unapologetically loud in standing with the people who have inspired us with their strength, faith, and unwavering spirit in the face of unspeakable suffering. This body of work symbolizes the world's collective fury, a pledge that we stand for liberation; that we are deeply experiencing their pain, and resoundingly inspired by their enduring spirit.”
