Mujahed Collaborates With Taffy on Love Ballad ‘Bassama’

Sudanese rapper Mujahed has teamed up with Egyptian rising artist Taffy on a joint single, ‘Bassama', a soulful ballad that touches themes of love and longing.

Against stripped-down production helmed by BashMohannad, intersected with Middle Eastern tabla patterns and dreamy keys and synths with pop sensibilities, Mujaheed and Taffy trade melodic verses in a chill, laid-back flow. They are not trying to flex with worldplays and sharp-tongued bars that the duo has demonstrated in their previous releases. Instead, they pivoted to a more emotionally-charged lyricism that’s filled with pure vulnerability to showcase their feelings.
