Fumiya Tanaka to Headline Dubai Showcase by Playhaus & 'somewhere…'

Egyptian party series and label Playhaus has teamed up with Lebanese nightlife powerhouse 'somewhere…' to host a massive collaborative showcase at Helipad Dubai on February 14th.

Brought by electronic brand Human Figures, the party will be headlined by renowned Berlin-based Japanese DJ and producer Fumiya Tanaka. One of the pioneers on the front line of the global electronic music circuit, Tanaka is known for his versatile, chunky musical style, characterised by a distinctive bass-heavy take on minimal house and techno, imbued with relentless grooves, jagged rhythms, and jazz-leaning compositions. He is also known for his long-running party series in Tokyo and Osaka, Chaos, and for founding influential imprints like Torema Records and Sundance. Rounding out the lineup are Cairo’s DJ/producer Hermit and Dubai-based selector Jaz, representing the region’s underground with their finely tuned, forward-thinking sound.
