Ibrahim X and YUNIS, two of Egypt’s most innovative recent music exports who have just made Paris their new home along with other residents of Kafr El-Dauwar Records, are transforming the Shaabi genre through electronic fusions to establish a unique edge in the underground communities within Shaabi and Mahraganat.

They seem to have received more appreciation in cultural events rather than Egypt’s party scene, and now the pair have been delivering stellar performances across France and Switzerland.

On Wednesday, 25th August, Ibrahim X and YUNIS will perform at Cave 12, an alternative venue in the Swiss capital Geneva. The duo are set to perform their 2019 collaboration album Ya Khal, delivering a staple of Egypt’s contemporary music to a Genevan audience.
