Cairo-bred social club and label, BackSpin -a notable collective in the underground music circuit recognized for their unique approach to event curation -are bringing back their party series with a pulse-pounding season opener night on September 20th.
The party -marking the second season of the collective's homecoming playground concept -brings together a slew of Cairo’s favourite selectors, featuring Nour Fahmy and Gahallah, showcasing their library of breakbeat, electro and house bangers. Joining them on the lineup is local DJ Zeft Funk with an extended set, encompassing Italo disco, acid and electronic Arabic sounds.
The night will also feature two live sets, a driving house and a funk one, courtesy of Egyptian producer and pioneering sound engineer Ramez Naguib, along with some acidic grooves and playful bass by Egyptian virtuoso producer and Geeza Records’ Taher.
The party will take place at a secret location in Cairo, Egypt, which will be revealed 24 hours before the event. Doors open at 6 PM. Limited early bird passes are available. For booking and reservations, you can DM @8ack5pin on Instagram.
