Tunisian Duo Yuma Recruit Legendary Producer Ricardo Villalobos for Remix EP 'Smek'
The influential Chilean/German producer and DJ headlines an EP that also sees Berlin’s SIS and Spain’s MoM put their own spins on Yuma’s 2016 track, ‘Smek’.

Tunisian singer-songwriter duo Yuma — comprised of singer Sabrine Jenhani and guitarist/vocalist Ramy Zoghlami — have released a remix EP of their 2016 sleeper-hit ‘Smek’, featuring remixes by Berlin’s SIS, Spain’s MoM and none other than legendary Chilean/German producer and DJ Ricardo Villalobos.

On Smek (Remixes) we can hear all three contributing artists present their own take on the original, with Villalobos bringing his signature micro-house inclinations to spina Yuma’s expansive original mix into a thumping dance floor heater. On the flipside, SIS takes things in a more organic/desert-house direction with intricately arranged wooden percussions and a driving bassline, while MoM preserves the original slowed-down energy of the original, bolstering it’s arrangement with an array of traditional percussions and atmospheric synth work.
