Egypt’s Red Sea Records continues to expand its extensive roster with this latest release from Teymour Fathy, aka TY:More.
Following up his self-release track ‘Void’, which garnered over 15,000 listens on Soundcloud, ’Shattered’ is an atmospheric and downtempo melodic track that continues to develop the sonic aesthetic first presented on ‘Void’; minimal percussion, spacious chords and a distinct lack of bass frequencies make for an altogether mellow, understated vibe.
The issue is that ‘Shattered’ lacks the full-roundedness of many previous Red Sea Records releases and almost seems to be the kind of track designed to be layered on top of another when DJed. As the second release from TY:More, it is clear that he is still developing his sound and signature production methods and it’ll be interesting to see what comes next from the producer.
