Two of Iran’s biggest electronic producers have joined forces for a slow-burning, three-minute soundscape that drowns itself in murky tones as it flutters and hisses electricity throughout. Best enjoyed by letting it wash over you via a decent pair of headphones, Nima Aghiani and Mez’Rab’s 'False Blue' builds up to a grand macabre melody and rhythm reminiscent of Forest Swords' raucous yet ethereal sound.

Mez'Rab is a 28-year-old music producer, audio engineer and software/game developer who was born and raised in Tehran. He has collaborated with influential Persian hip-hop artists like Bahram, REZ, Ali Sorena, Dariush and Navid, and he’s also founder of Jaryan magazine, which focuses on promoting electronic and alternative hip-hop music in Iran. Nima Aghiani is a Parisian-based Iranian sound artist and one half of experimental duo 9T Antiope with Sara Bigdeli. His last solo EP is 2019's Convergence Zone,  which was released on UK based label, Zabte Sote, and sonically explored the relationship between man and machine.
