Despite only being a few months into his career, newcomer Omar Tesla has emerged from the metaphorical rap-womb fully formed, with a keen ear towards lyricism and production quality categoric of a much more experienced rapper. Spitting over a thumping trap beat by low-key producer BLVK, Omar Tesla sets forth with the single minded goal of joining Egypt’s rap pantheon.
Taking the often precarious approach of rapping in both Arabic and English, Omar Tesla pulls off this bilingual experimentation with class and confidence, sometimes transitioning between both languages in the same bar. Despite such a brief time in the scene, Omar Tesla has no problem punching above his weight category, leaving us interested to see how he develops as his career progresses. Certainly one to watch for when live performances return, eventually.
