Trap producer and frequent El Waili collaborator, Yucifer, recently dropped a new instrumental track from the duo’s upcoming as-of-yet unnamed debut album.
The video for ‘Mirage’ juxtaposes found footage of World War II, Reagan-era America, and more current shots of the wars gripping the Middle East. A strange combination in theory, but in practice it serves as a fitting accompaniment to Yucifer’s frantic production, which blends chaotic 808 hits with clockwork percussion and moody, horror-inspired synth work.
The release follows Yucifer and El Waili’s recent release, psychedelic shaabi track 'El Abd We El Waili'.
