Shuffle | May 22 - June 11

We’re back with another edition of ‘Shuffle’, our multi-genre bi-weekly playlist, packed with a wide variety of fresh releases that came out around the Eid Al-Adha break from across the Middle East and North Africa. The playlist features new music from Nagham Saleh, Zeina, Maurice Louca, DJ Totti and more.

Egyptian veteran Nagham Saleh revealed the fourth preview track from her upcoming album, ‘SHALAQ’. Titled ‘MAMA, the track is an interplay between Zaar, mawwal, and contemporary pop sensibilities.

Iraqi singer-songwriter Shébani released a heartfelt piano ballad, ‘Maybe I Should Leave the City’, blending introspective lyricism with melancholic and minimalist arrangements which showcase her vocal prowess.

Meanwhile, Sunkissed Child, a Lebanese-born artist who has been making waves in the UK’s alternative music scene with her fusion of neo-soul and R&B, is coming through with her brand new debut album, ‘Yasmina, Like the Flower’, where she explores themes of mental health, identity, and diaspora across six tracks.

The playlist also features Zeina with ‘Jananto’, the legendary musician Mounir Makar with ‘Mon Jardin Près de la Grande Bleu’, along with Riff with a remix of his joint track with Donia Wael, ‘Tayha’.
