SceneNoise’s bi-weekly playlist, Shuffle, returns, highlighting the standout new releases spanning various genres, from R&B and pop to electronic, alternative and experimental sound. Over the past fortnight, the region’s music scene has seen a surge of new releases, with highlights from Ali Najm, Nour and Cheen.

Egyptian artist and former frontman of Sharmoofers, Ahmed Bahaa, links up with Nagham Salah on edgy reggaeton-infused pop cut, ‘Enty Fein’, while rock rouser Cheen and Egyptian producer Sintax collaborate on a gritty, nu-metal single, ‘Mesh 7atigi’, and dream-pop star Nour leans into playful irony with a tongue-in-cheek tune, ‘ALO!?’.

Sudanese artist AMAKA returns with a wistful R&B track, ‘Masafat’, featuring Mariane Layousse, and Palestinian-Jordanian outfit 47SOUL comes through with ‘Leila’, another rhythm-heavy cut rooted in their signature electro-shamstep sound.
