The man who’s always bringing Middle Eastern artists together, shedding light on underappreciated or undervalued artists in music scenes as a whole, and constantly offering vital insight to the broad sea of hip hop from the region, Saudi hip hoop guru and executive producer Big Hass is back once again, this time with a stacked cluster of Iraqi rappers in hiss latest project of ‘Iraq Cypher’.
The cypher brings together 9 of the finest rappers Iraq has to offer in a single piece of work, produced by electrifying Iraqi producer USFOXX. Big Hass invites over Kira Thee Blurryface, Armando, Nayomi, DISSER, KC Hamada, AlRongm, Genesis, Odd Khalid, and El Seen over a fiery Eastern-inspired trap drill, showcasing the overlooked Iraqi rap scene, which boasts an abundance of wicked talents.
What would be most notable in their craft is their aggressive delivery and their rugged flowing manner, perfectly complimenting the drill-instrumental, which nearly always requires more aggression on the mic. Every artist got their own videographer to shoot their scenes, and Mr. Hass got frequent collaborator, video editor Raed Al-Murdish to fit the videos together, the way they always do, with the likes of ‘Khadsha’ and ‘Arab Femcee’.
Big Hass has presented some colossal collaborations with the likes of Freek x Narcy x Big Moe, ‘Khadsha’ with Shouly x Blxvb x El Far3i x Edd Abbas x Maysaa Daw, and Arab Femcee featuring Taffy x Little G Fresh x Rann x Medusa x Nayomi. The Saudi visionary never fails at bringing together impressive artists and curating rappers to best fit any given project.
