On this edition of Rap of the Week, our selection features picks from regional heavyweights like Hleem Taj Alser and Shabjdeed.
This week’s installment of our Rap of the Week playlist features new releases from some of the region’s biggest rappers, including the likes of Hleem Taj Alser and Shabjdeed.
Ahead of his new record, Sudanese rap favourite Hleem Taj Alser links up with Somali rapper Freek on‘Domi’, while three off Palestine’s BLTNM fam, Fawzi, Shabjdeed, and Al Nather reunite on ‘Youmi’.
From Egypt, we have Flex with ‘3awdet El Fa2dan’ from his new debut album, ‘Wa7ed’, along with Mahdy Madness with ‘VR’, and rising rapper Moose with ‘CM Punch’(which arguably is one of the fastest flows to come out of the local hip-hop scene).
The playlist also includes Libyan rapper Wave wth ‘Ho Gra’, Morocco’s own Small X keeping his diss streak alive with ‘Dikec #3’, and Fares LÜNN teaming up with Mac Amish on ‘Dayem’.
