Omar Keif Expands His Sound With Emotive Ballad ‘Meen Same3na’ ft. ZAD
The joint single sees the Egyptian producer dabbling outside his usual hard-hitting trap forte and into a pop-leaning sound.
Egyptian producer Omar Keif continues the rollout of his upcoming debut album with a collaborative single, ‘Meen Same3na’, featuring anonymous artist ZAD.
Known for his hard-hitting trap beats and collaborations with rap stars like Ziad Zaza and Dizzytooskinny, Keif shifts away from his usual forte with this latest release, venturing more into a pop-leaning sound. The track is a strong emotional piece that reads as a soundtrack for the hopeless romantics, capturing the emotional dilemma of an unrequited love relationship. The production’s minimalist approach, punctuated with soul-stirring analogue synthesiser, feels very much up ZAD’s alley, beautifully highlighting her unmistakable haunting vocals and deeply vulnerable lyricism.
Coming on the heels of his trap-heavy single ‘Baby Shark’ with Ziad Zaza, ‘Meen Same3na’ underscores Keif’s ability to adapt his sound to the collaborators he works with, demonstrating a noticeable expansion of his sonic palette. And, if the track is any indication, it hints that Keif’s debut record promises to be as colourful and diverse, with no bounds to a specific genre or sound.
