Saudi rising popstar Mishaal Tamer and American pop rock band One Republic have collaborated on the soundtrack for the latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed game series, ‘Assassin’s Creed Mirage’.

Developed by Ubisoft, the newest edition of the action-adventure video game series will primarily take place in 9th century Baghdad. The soundtrack for Assassin’s Creed Mirage was co-written by One Republic’s lead vocalist and songwriter, Ryan Tedder, marking the franchise’s first collaboration with a top 50 global artist. Through weaving elements from the series’s original theme song with One Republic’s famous pulsing synthesiser and upbeat Arabic lyrics, courtesy of Mishaal, ‘Mirage’ captures that adrenaline-packed spirit, which defines the game’s immersive experience and sonically reflects its location in the Middle East.

Having recently opened for One Republic’s European summer tour 2023 and being a devout gamer of Assassin's Creed, Mishaal Tamer is now off to contribute his creative prowess to his childhood favourite game. The ‘Mirage’  music video features the Saudi young artist, glimpses of Assassin’s Creed Mirage protagonist ‘Basim’–a cunning street thief with troubled visions –along with some sneak peeks of Ubisoft’s recreation of Baghdad in Iraq.

The ‘Mirage’ track was released on September 22nd and is now available on all streaming platforms. The Assassin’s Creed Mirage video game, meanwhile, will launch on PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox on October 5th.
