Stormalong is an alternative rock band, pumping out a melancholic, evocative indie rock sound. The band was formed by songwriter 'Eddie' (Eyad Mohamed) in late 2019 following his meetup with the band's current producer 'DTM' (Dody Tarek) and debuted in 2020 with a demo version of "Eye of the storm" introducing 'Coptopus' (Mohamed Saleh) as the vocalist, Mahmoud Hassany as the guitarist and later Rita Aziz as the drummer.
Their latest release, Burning Low opens with a euphoric melody joined by deep, velvety vocals reminiscent of The National's Matt Berninger's beautiful tenor  A sense of melancholy is perfectly captured with its emotive instrumentation; a delicate and warm guitar melody throughout provides the anchor for a tranquil exploration of loneliness and longing that comes to the fore in the tracks contrasting falsetto hook "maybe the fire would grow".
